Official Participation Guide

Welcome to Voices For Roxette.

Voices For Roxette is an independent, international, non-profit charity music project created by fans, for fans.

Our goal is simple:

To celebrate the music of Roxette by bringing together musicians from all over the world to create new cover versions of the songs we all love.

Every selected recording will become part of an official Voices For Roxette charity release.

After unavoidable distribution and transaction costs, 100% of all remaining proceeds will be donated to a recognised cancer charity.

This project is about music, creativity, community and giving something back.

1. Who Can Participate?

Everyone.

Whether you are

- a professional musician,

- a local band,

- a bedroom producer,

- a solo artist,

- a choir,

- an orchestra,

- or simply a passionate Roxette fan,

you are welcome.

We care far more about passion and creativity than commercial success.

2. What Can Be Submitted?

Participants may submit original cover versions of officially released Roxette songs.

Your interpretation may be:

- acoustic

- rock

- pop

- jazz

- country

- orchestral

- electronic

- metal

- piano

- instrumental

- vocal

- or any other musical style.

Creative arrangements are encouraged.

However, the original composition must always remain recognisable.

3. Cover Song Rules

To ensure legal compliance, every submission must follow these principles:

- The original lyrics may not be changed.

- The melody must remain recognisable.

- The song must clearly be identifiable as a Roxette composition.

- Copyright ownership always remains with the original songwriters and publishers.

- Participants are responsible for complying with copyright regulations in their own country.

4. Originality of the Recording

Submitted recordings should preferably be produced specifically for Voices For Roxette.

Previously released recordings may be accepted in exceptional cases.

If a recording has already been released, participants must disclose this during submission and provide the ISRC code (if available).

The project committee reserves the right to accept or reject previously released recordings.

5. Technical Requirements

Accepted formats include:

- WAV (preferred)

- FLAC

- AIFF

High-quality MP3 files may be accepted for review purposes.

Participants should also provide:

6. Selection Process

After the submission deadline, all entries will be reviewed by the Voices For Roxette Committee.

The committee consists of experienced members of the international Roxette fan community.

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

- musical quality

- originality

- creativity

- emotional impact

- production quality

- suitability for the final release

The committee's decision is final.

There is no legal entitlement to publication.

7. Anonymous Voting

To ensure fairness, the committee may evaluate submissions anonymously.

If anonymous voting is used, artist names will be hidden during the evaluation process.

This helps minimise unconscious bias and allows every submission to be judged solely on its musical merits.

8. Release

Selected songs may be released through:

- Spotify

- Apple Music

- Amazon Music

- Deezer

- YouTube Music

- TIDAL

- Download stores

- and, if feasible, physical formats such as CD or vinyl.

Participation does not guarantee publication.

9. Charity

Voices For Roxette is a non-profit project.

The organisers do not intend to generate personal profit.

After unavoidable distribution-related expenses, all remaining proceeds will be donated to a recognised cancer charity.

A summary of the donations will be published after completion of the project.

Transparency is an important part of Voices For Roxette.

10. Respect

This project exists because of Roxette.

Please treat fellow participants, committee members and everyone involved with kindness and respect.

Constructive feedback is welcome.

Personal attacks, discrimination or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.

11. Important Notice
